Do your speakers need more power? Look no further. From Winnipeg's own Scientific Audio Research Labs, this is a true audiophile classic. This amp was custom built for me by the owners, taking what was their best amp at the time, increasing the power, and "putting in all kinds of tricks". They told me it was as good as any one-box amplifier they had ever built (in 30 years). Unlike conventional amplifiers, the 400-D is actually two monoblock amps sharing one chassis. The result is a wide, deep, detailed soundstage that is coupled with huge power reserves to drive any speakers with amazingly fast transients and huge impact, including electrostatics. I paid $5500 in 2001. It's in perfect condition (these amps normally last at least 20 years). This price is firm but I will pay shipping anywhere in Canada (I live in Victoria BC). PLEASE NOTE: this is not the same as the MOS-450, which was their cheapest regularly produced amp
